- perform cylinder leak down test. cylinder #4 and #6 failed. combustion gasses are getting into cooling system. –
- replace all related gaskets replace spark plugs change engine oil and filter replace thermostat and flush cooling system, inspect radiator and water pump. found radiator and coolant expansion tank too far contaminated with sealer to use so new ones were installed – during initial warm up cycle after repair found engine cooling fan not working, assemble is bad. install new cooling fan test drive 20 miles. ran good, and did not overheat –
- complete valve job with new valve guide seals resurface cylinder head face. –
